KU Photography

Units may acquire university images for use in promoting KU through several campus outlets:

KU Photo Library
University Relations. Search images online by category, keyword, department and photographer at www.photos.ku.edu. Low-res images may be downloaded and used free of charge. For information on acquiring high-res photos contact kuphotos@ku.edu.

Historic KU Photography
University Archives. A huge repository of historic KU photos is available. Contact the archivist to initiate a search.

Athletic photography
Kansas Athletics. All intercollegiate sports action photography is managed by Athletics. Contact the official photographer.

Portraits
University Relations takes official faculty and staff portraits. Call 864-3256 for more information and to schedule an appointment.

Other photo services
The University Relations Photography Department provides images for the university's most important representative communications. Photographers cover major campus events and supplement lead university stories and reports with photographs. Priority is given to jobs involving recruitment, media relations, public relations and university-wide information. University Relations employs staff, upper level students, freelance professionals and contractual service vendors to help meet campus photo needs.
